Course Description
This Pre-Algebra course is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to be successful in Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and Geometry. This course will develop and sharpen Pre-Algebra skills and is a rigorous course covering for critical areas: adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing rational numbers, analyzing proportional relationships and using expressions and equations, using sampling to draw
inferences about a population and solving problems involving angle measure, area, surface area and volume. This course is aligned with the California Common Core State Standards for Mathematics, Grade 7 and Grade 8.
