Education: Elise Brunner grew up in San Marino where she attended Valentine, Huntington, and San Marino High School. She graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. She obtained her Multiple Subject Professional Clear Teaching Credential from St. Mary's College in Moraga.
Teaching Experience: Elise Brunner began her teaching career teaching 2nd Grade at Reed Elementary in Tiburon, California. During her tenure there, she was named the school district's "Teacher of the Year" in 1998. After relocating to Southern California, she taught both 2nd and 4th Grade at Valentine Elementary. In 2011, she received the "Heart of Gold" Valentine PTA award, and in 2015, she received the "Halo" HMS PTA award. Elise's son Joey graduated from San Marino High School in 2019 and her daughter Kate graduated from SMHS in 2022. Elise is currently in her fourteenth year at HMS as a 6th Grade English and Social Studies teacher.
